5:07Now PlayingBen Kentish speaks to Director of Political Analytics for YouGov, Patrick English, to discuss how the UK public assessed the performances of Rishi Sunak and Keir Starmer in the latest Leaders' Special.
A snap YouGov poll found 64 per cent of viewers believed the Labour leader came out on top, while only 36 per cent said Sunak was victorious.
Sunak was booed after trying to justify the Tories' 'failure to cut NHS waiting lists, while Starmer stumbled over his previous backing of Jeremy Corbyn in 2019.
Overall, however, English emphasises that the PM did little to win the support of the voters he needs to target.
