26:18Now PlayingThe tragic Minneapolis Catholic school shooting has been twisted into yet another case study in media bias. When the gunman was identified as Robin Westman, a 23-year-old transgender individual, mainstream outlets suddenly shifted into cautious, sanitized language. Reporters who normally leap at the chance to brand suspects with political or cultural tags went silent on this fact. Why? Because it doesn’t fit the left’s preferred narrative.
If Westman had been a Trump supporter, a church-going conservative, or simply someone wearing a red MAGA hat, you know exactly what would have happened. CNN would have plastered it across their chyrons, MSNBC would have run panel after panel linking the crime to “right-wing extremism,” and Democrats would already be fundraising off the horror. Instead, when the identity cuts against their ideological comfort zone, we get euphemisms, excuses, and a quick pivot back to “gun control” talking points.
Two children are dead, 17 others injured, and yet the biggest outlets won’t even ask the hard questions about motive, ideology, or whether certain cultural forces played a role. Law enforcement is rightly treating this as domestic terrorism and a hate crime, but the media is treating it as just another statistic.
This selective outrage proves the point conservatives have been making for years: coverage isn’t about truth, it’s about narrative. When reality collides with progressive dogma, the facts get buried. Families in Minneapolis deserve honesty, not spin. And Americans deserve a media that calls out killers no matter who they are.
