3:11Now PlayingDaniel Park, 32, who was accused of supplying chemicals to Guy Edward Bartkus of California, has died in federal custody just weeks after his arrest, prison officials said Tuesday. Park was charged with aiding the bomber of a fertility clinic in California. Bartkus, the bomber, died during a May 17 explosion. LiveNOW’s Andy Mac has the breaking news.
Authorities used a cellphone recovered from the expansive crime scene to find Park, so says the criminal complaint. He allegedly used an AI chatbot to look for information about creating an explosive device just days before the attack, according to the complaint.
Authorities said Park also went to California to experiment inside the bomber's garage months before the attack. Park, from the Seattle area, was found unresponsive in Metropolitan Detention Center in Los Angeles and was pronounced dead at the hospital, according to prison officials. As of now, no cause of death was provided.
