Seth Godin has been a business mentor of mine for years.
Back in 2016, my husband Chris and I were such huge fans of Seth Godin’s work that we jumped at the chance to buy a limited-edition copy of his book, What Does It Sound Like to Change Your Mind?
This thing is massive - it weighs as much as a toddler - and a decade after we made that purchase, I hauled it into our Boston studio because I was hoping he’d sign it.
Can you guess what gift he brought with him for me? That same book!!!
Not a surprise that we were all in tears.
It was such a surreal moment to surprise HIM with the same book and finally that get signature I had always dreamed of getting.
And here’s the crazy part: before this conversation, Seth had no idea how much he’d shaped me through his books, blogs, and courses.
He didn’t know his ideas were the reason I stopped waiting for someone to “pick” me and decided to publish my first book on my own. And he definitely didn’t know that one decision would end up launching the career that eventually led to The Mel Robbins Podcast.
And that's why I am so excited for you to watch this episode.
