4:13Now PlayingState Senators and University of Minnesota officials announce a plan Thursday, March 8th, to establish an Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) Research Center at the University of Minnesota. The plan involves a partnership between the state and the university. Senator John Carlson, R-Bemidji, Senator Bill Ingebrigtsen, R-Alexandria, and University of Minnesota President, Eric Kaler, say the goal of the plan is to prevent the spread of AIS in the short term and to provide for the removal of these species from infested waters in the long term.
