The event, held in the State Capitol Rotunda Wednesday, January 19, is part of a campaign to bring awareness to the growing social problem of hunger in our communities.
House Speaker Kurt Daudt, Senate Majority Leader Paul Gazelka, Senate Minority Leader Tom Bakk and Representative and Representative Mike Freiberg participated in the event. The winner of the grocery bagging contest was awarded $1,000 dollars to donate to the food charity of their choice.
