According to the Wall Street Journal, the United States spends more per capita on health care than any other developed nation and will soon spend close to twenty percent of its GDP on health. Senator Scott Jensen, R-Chaska, is a practicing physician and a strong advocate for health care reform. He offers his perspective on some of the barriers to price transparency in health care.
Also this week, Commissioner Jessica Looman of the Department of Commerce explains the agency’s process of evaluating health insurance rates following the roll-out of rates and plans available for 2019 in the individual market and the small group market.
