10:35Now PlayingAfter an emotional committee meeting that included stunning video of drivers ignoring school bus safety measures, members of the Senate Transportation Committee held a press conference Tuesday, February 25, to outline efforts pushing school bus safety awareness.
According to the Department of Public Safety, about 600 drivers per day ignore bus safety arms. The Senate bill would establish a public relations campaign to inform drivers of the importance of following laws to stop once a school bus arm is extended.
