Q: My building is undergoing redevelopment. Each flat owner will get additional carpet area and one car parking as part of this. I don't have a car and don't wish to purchase one. Can I give my car parking on rent or sale?
Answer: Parking is an amenity and is a property of the society which is equally distributed amongst the people living out there. In case you don’t want the parking, it will be reverted back to the society and can be allotted to someone else. But if the society agrees in letting out the parking, it will not be given to a third person, not belonging to the society.
