Question: My society follows a first come first serve for car parking allotment. The current committee are all beneficiaries under this allotment and are not willing to shift to annual draws. How can I make the society take up annual draws for parking space?
Answer: The new model byelaws 78 to 84 contain the methodology for parking to be adopted by the society. Byelaw 81 clarifies that if the members are more than the parking slots, the MC shall allot parking on annual basis in accordance with rules framed by the General Body. If your society has adopted the new model byelaws, you can ask the society to follow them strictly.
