Question: I bought a property in from VGP Investments in Bengaluru in the 1970s. It is a terrace land that I purchased for Rs. 10,000/sq. ft. However, it has come into the green belt and has been transferred to Hosur. There are no houses in the area, no water line. All my documents were taken away, since I was abroad at the time. I have the NRE cheque accounts. I have been given 3 small plots adjacent to one another in Hosur. All this transfer was done in the 1980s. Please tell me what the rate is for VGP in Jayanagar, Hosur.
Answer: There have been several problems with this property. There are many buyers who want to unite and fight the developer. Currently, property values on Hosur Road are very low. You can get land for Rs 3.5 – Rs 15 lakhs. Not sure about the titles and the potential.
