3:55Now PlayingMore than 60 people residing in a Dadar (W) society are suffering from jaundice, with several among them facing the life-threatening prospects of a complete liver failure, after a damaged pipeline resulted in the colony receiving contaminated water for the last four months. The 80-year-old Palan Sojpal society, located barely a few km from the famous Kabutar Khana near Dadar Railway Station, has turned Hepatitis E-endemic (Hepatitis E is a virus that causes jaundice and complete liver failure if not treated properly). Such is the scare that around 200 families living there have even stopped brushing their teeth with tap water.
