Question: Developers construct 3 or 4 floors in areas where construction of upto 2 floors is allowed. They construct these floors illegally. They give false commitments to the consumers and arrange for bank loans as well. On documents, they only show the details of approved floors. This way the customer is cheated. Also, the customer takes a loan for a home on the second floor while he/she has booked a home on the 4th floor. How to prevent this? The consumer has already paid some part of the money and builder may not give the money back once the consumer realizes. How can we prevent such frauds?
Answer: Diligence is important, do a background check and deal with reputed builders. Never part with any money, before having full satisfaction.
