6:26Now PlayingFinance Minister Arun Jaitley addressed the Parliamentary meeting held ahead of the Parliamentary session and assured that this step of demonetisation will fight black money, terrorism and corruption today (Nov 22). Jaitely acknowledged the hardship caused to the common people especially the farmers and the small traders due to cash crunch..He however asserted that as the situation in urban areas is normalising. The focus would be now on the rural parts of the country.
"Every honest and law-abiding citizen has welcomed this move," said the Finance Minister. "This is one decision which gifted a premium to a citizen's honesty."
Arun Jaitley said, "Very few decisions have an impact on the political, social and economic life of people, and this is the reason why the move have been well accepted by the citizens."
