Question: There is a builder, with whom I made an agreement, paid him an advance of Rs 7 lakh. Again, I paid Rs 12 lakh in 2015. He was unable to build it so he asked another builder to make it. Now, there is some dispute between builders. I have been stuck with this since for years. What is the legal thing I can do against the builder? I have a sale agreement and the payments were made by cheque. I have receipts for the same.
Answer: The building is ready and people had got the possession. Only you are the one who has not received the possession. The recourse you can avail is that you can approach the Consumer Court.
