People from various districts have formed a serpentine queues to exchange notes. The centre has mandated that the exchange of old defunct notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 can be done at various RBI branches till March 31. However, the RBI has issued a fresh notification stating that only the Mumbai, Delhi and Kolkata branches are authorized to exchange defunct notes causing trouble to the distressed citizens.
