Question: With a budget of Rs 40-45 lakh, what are the options to look for to buy a 2BHK flat in South Goa, Vasco-da-Gama? Is it a good time to buy or a wait for 6 months will be good for Goa market to depreciate?
Answer:The prices of properties in Goa have already corrected over the last couple of years. I don’t think the prices can systemically go down. Goa is a fragmented market, the area you are planning to buy, there are a lot of local developers. I don’t have any specific recommendation in terms of developers. I would strongly suggest to go around the market, have an expert consultant who is aware of micro market and then shortlist on the property.
I don’t think anything is going to change after 6 months. The title of the property you want to buy, licenses and making sure that all the certification is in place are few things to keep in mind. For people not from Goa, it is also recommended to get a lawyer to get everything right and take the best buying decision.
