as posted by the channelTextile traders throughout the country have called for a three-day strike as a mark of protest against the 5% tax on textiles. As many as 40,000 traders have participated in the strike that has its epicenter at the Telangana State Federation for Textile Association.
The wholesale market claims that the proposed 5% tax on textiles will worsen the business environment for textile traders. They claimed that the imposition of the proposed tax percentage will put small traders out of business and increase their expenditure.
