The Reserve Bank of India along with 19 other banks including the State Bank of India (SBI) have unanimously responded to an RTI application saying that banks are not responsible for loss of valuables from lockers. In response to this RTI filed by lawyer Kush Kalra, the RBI has said that the relationship of banks with their customers is that of a landlord and a tenant.
