Nov 3, 20171:05Now PlayingThe Centre has told the Supreme Court that all subscribers must link their mobile phone numbers with Aadhaar by February 6, 2018 under the e-KYC verification. The government also informed the apex court that furnishing Aadhaar was mandatory for opening new bank accounts. In its new affidavit running into 113 pages, the Centre cited the SC order in Lokniti Foundation case on February 6, 2017, in which the top court had approved the norm for mandatory Aadhaar-mobile phone linkage with a window of one year.
