3:07Now PlayingIndia’s aviation authority, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has issued a warning advisory to pilots regarding domestic operations amid the locust swarm attack. The circular issued says that the low lying locusts can hamper operations of the aircraft during landing and take off. Further, adding that the visibility of the pilot can also be potentially hampered by interference on the windshield. The airlines, crew and pilots have been asked to maintain caution when flying in particular areas affected by the swarms currently posing a grim threat in as many as five states like Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab and Delhi. Airport technicians have also been advised to check parked aircraft for any opening that can damage the flight if the locust were to get inside.
