15:39Now PlayingContinuing with our investigation, where we have been doing a reality check on the country's hotspots, this investigation brings the "Delhi's ambulance loot" where we spoke to private ambulance service operators.
All 10 private ambulance operators were overcharging. Most of them sought prices between Rs. 5,000- 12,000 for coronavirus patients. Some of them even went to an extent saying charging is irrespective of the distance between the hospital and the patient's house.
While Alok Singh, Mirror Now, inquired about the price, the operator replied, "If the patient is COVID positive, then it will cost around 10,000, as it will involve PPE kit and the car will take around 5-6 hours to get sanitized. Hence, there will be an increase in price."
