As a precautionary measure, all fishermen have been asked to pull out their boats from the sea and people of Mumbai have been asked to not step out of the houses. According to IMD wind speed in the city is like to increase. NDRF teams have been deployed in the city. Also, BMC and state Govt teams are ready to tackle this cyclone. State Government has taken help from local army Navy and Airforce units.
Late in the night on 2nd June Guardian Minister for Mumbai City Aslam Shaikh made a surprise visit at coastal villages in Mumbai City to see preparedness. The Minister made a surprise visit to Bhati, Madh village. He also spoke with local fishermen about the cyclone and requested them to follow the instructions given by State Government.
