According to Alibaug SP, Anil Paraskar, 12,000 people have been evacuated in Alibaug and Section 144 has been imposed. Cops have also been deployed along the beaches. Cyclone Nisarga is likely to make its landfall today at around 2:30 PM in Alibaug, Maharashtra. Strong winds at 85 KM/H prevail on and off the Konkan Coast. It will become 120 KM/H, in the afternoon, around the time of the landfall. As per the last update, around 25,000 people from Raigad & 15,000 people from Palghar have been evacuated.
