The soldiers of the forces engaged in the mission have been injured in the fight. The operation in the area is still underway, as the situation is yet to normalise. The intense gun battle took place in the Pinjora village of Shopian district. The houses in which the militants were hiding have been blown up by the forces to end the resistance. The security forces went in after reports of Jaish-Hizbul group terror operations in the area emerged through intel. The gunfight has now ended, but the search continues, to recover weapons and bodies for information and identification.
