6:08Now PlayingThe COVID-19 case surge in Delhi has become extremely worrying for authorities and citizens as the fear of healthcare system being overwhelmed by the case surge loom large. The national capital has recorded over 38,958 COVID cases which are spiking continuously. The Centre has decided to step in and assess the situation on the ground. Home Minister Amit Shah will hold a second round of meetings today with Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Lieutenant-Governor. The Centre has also scheduled review meetings with the heads of municipal bodies in the capital to assess civic preparedness and precautions. The key issue for the meetings will be ramping up healthcare infrastructure in government as well as private hospitals to ensure hospitals don't run out of beds.
