3:15Now PlayingWhile the Karnataka government continues to maintain that the state is faring better than its counterparts, with the increase in the number of coronavirus cases, the number of containment zones have increased. While on Monday, the civic body BBMP reported that the number of containment zones in the city stands at 54, Friday saw a jump of nearly 62 containment zones, taking the total number of containment’s in the city to 116 containment zones.
Bazaar Street is one of the oldest markets in the city. After one person tested positive on Friday, the once-bustling street today looks deserted. Shutters of over 200 commercial establishments have been brought down. Autos ply in the containment zone making announcements requesting people to stay indoors.
Currently, there are 3000 active cases and areas including Padarayanapura, Dasarahalli, SK Gardens, and Agrahara have seen the highest coronavirus case tally.
