1:47Now PlayingJapan’s Prime Minister Shinzō Abe has retweeted the intention to hold the postponed Olympics in Tokyo in the coming year saying that it will be a safe event. He also stated that it is time to start the construction of new post-COVID-19 Japan admitting Japan’s readiness for dealing with the pandemic has not been sufficient. PM Abe has lifted various travel restrictions within the country and is also mulling to allow some travel from Vietnam, Thailand, Australia and New Zealand.
China, however, has re-imposed travel curbs in Beijing. China reported 28 new COVID-19 cases out of which 24 were domestically transported and 4 were imported.
