For the past one year, the Singh household in Chakfatah village of Bihar's Vaishali district had one crib. Sepoy Jai Kishor Singh wasn't getting married. He was in the forces, he would argue. His brother is in the CRPF so that argument nullified. Finally, there was peace. The family began looking for a girl for him. When he visited home in February this year, he kind of okayed discussions to take it forward. But Sepoy Kishor Singh's okay ended in a tragedy. A jawan who would spend hours motivating his village youth to join the Army ended up making the supreme sacrifice. The gallantry he and his unit displayed had ended up motivating a country
