1:17Now PlayingMirror Now brings you the story of Colonel Santosh Babu who is one of the martyrs of the Galwan clashes between India and China. He was from Hamirpur, Himachal. He was a third generation soldier from his family. He had quit college to join army in 2018. He had to skip his father's retirement ceremony. He was just 21. His father and grandfather are both veterans. Olive green was in their blood and family. Sepoy Ankush never had any other ambition but to follow what his father did. Be in the Army. In fact, he was so motivated he carried his books to the front. He wanted to study hard t become a commissioner officer, an officer like Colonel Babu. Having joined his service just 10 months back, he family was looking forward to welcoming him back home for the first time in his uniform in their Karohta village of Hamirpur district. The Thakur family had even planned a function. They were to have a tent and eatables for a feast. The tent is there. But only to pay homage to the brave heart Sepoy, who got martyred less than a year into his service to the nation.
