This scheme involves 116 districts, 6 states, and 25 sub-schemes in order to help the affected migrant working during the period of the pandemic. The project outlays a plan of Rs. 50,000 crore. The pandemic has worst affected the migrant workers as they were forcefully moved out from their houses, left jobless and had to migrate to their villages.
This scheme will open up job opportunities for migrant works. 125 days of employment is guaranteed. Those who are in urgent need of work and employment will be assigned labour work and those who plan to stay in their villages will be given proper jobs.
