3:46Now PlayingMumbai: As new COVID cases are emerging daily, new hotspots are also emerging at a rapid rate. Over the past week, Maharashtra's Kalyan-Dombivali and Thane districts report the maximum number of cases. While 925 new cases were recorded in Kalyan-Dombivali, 466 new cases were reported in Thane. Authorities have attributed in the rise in cases to social distancing norms being violated in containment zones and crowding at market places as a result of unlocking of these areas. In the past 2-3 days, there have been 400 new cases in all these areas as no norms were being followed by the general public.
