Uncertainty surrounds the student community as they wonder if the schedule for competitive exams for higher students will also be changed.
There has also been significant reservation on the decision to evaluate and promote students based on previous scores and internal assessment.
“If we plan to go by the internal assessment, our internal assessment are not that good, we tend to work harder for the boards,” says, Arya Sethi, 12th Grade CBSE Student
There has been widespread questioning on CBSE offering give ‘exams later’ to students as an option.
“I think leaving the entire internal assessment as the basis of admission for colleges, opens a whole new set of problems. What is the sanctity of the scores that’ll get submitted?” Says, Aakash Chaudhry, Director and CEO, Aakash Educational Services Limited
The decision to cancel exams has been long drawn and full of ambiguities which add to the pain of both students as well as worried parents.
