0:51Now PlayingOnce again, private hospitals in Mumbai were seen violating norms and ethics. Despite, State Government’s clear orders of capping the COVID-19 treatment price, these private hospitals were overcharging the patients. As many as 200 cases of overcharging have been reported.
The Mumbai Civic Body (BMC), has resolved 150 complaints giving a total refund of ₹ 1.25 Crores. BMC says, in most cases, heavy deposits led to overcharging and costs of PPEs, sanitation was also charged. In some cases, people got a refund of up to ₹ 1 lakh. This also happened as the smaller hospitals are not following capping orders.
