2:32Now PlayingShocking news comes to light from the sports field, where an unprecedented situation renders the members ineligible at their club. 54 National Sports Federations have complained that their membership, license and annual recognition have been withdrawn by the Sports Ministry. This withdrawal is likely to hit financial aids for federations.
The federations were de-recognized as per June 24 order of Delhi HC owing to governance issues & alleged irregularities. The Sports Ministry is now mulling to file a special petition for seeking provisional recognition. The petitioner claims that Ministry arbitrarily granted provisional recognition, to shield erring NSFs.
