15:58Now PlayingPrime Minister Narendra Modi through a video conference, launched the Uttar Pradesh government’s ‘Atmanirbhar UP Rojgar Abhiyan’ to help migrant workers. Over 1.25 crore migrant workers and laborers from 31 districts in Uttar Pradesh, who lost their jobs and returned home from different states, due to coronavirus pandemic will be the beneficiary of this unique initiative. During the conference, PM Modi spoke to people from Uttar Pradesh state who have benefitted from various government schemes such as PM Awas Yojana, Shramik special trains and MUDRA Yojana etc. Other highlights include Industry groups to be formed near villages, towns, and small cities, the government also announced Rs 15,000 crore for 3 percent interest subvention for private players to build agriculture and dairy infrastructure and Rs 50,000 crore to be spent on employment and development of villages.
