The state of Maharashtra is on the top of the charts for having the most number of COVID-19 cases in the country. The cases are rising at an alarming rate with the city of Mumbai has registered its highest spike of more than 5,000 cases. CM Uddhav Thackeray added that in the coming festivals of Ganesh Chaturthi, Eid and other, precautions need to be maintained and people must follow the social guidelines.
