Several Bollywood actors and television personalities including Neha Dhupia, Taapse Pannu and Vir Das have joined the social media to stir to bring attention to the issue. The Mahashtra electricity regulator has now taken cognizance of the issue, it has opened a grievance redressal forum for the people to raise complaints. It has also asked power firms to not cut supply for non-payment of the bill.
