The decision comes with conditions applied, as it is only applicable to people who received amounting to more than double the average of 3 months from March to May. The electricity bills sent this month created an uproar in Mumbai as shocked residents including prominent bollywood celebrities and TV personalities like Taapsee Pannu, Neha Dhupia and Vir Das expressed their outrage on social media. The people alleged that they had been issued highly inflated bills, where consumption did not match the actual usuage.
