On the issue of the controversy over ICMR DG Balram Bhargava's letter on vaccine deadline of August 15, Centre said the intention of the letter was to fast track to expedite the process without compromising on safety concerns.
The ICMR said it is monitoring developments from WHO to assess whether COVID19 is an airborne disease or not.
The Health Ministry acknowledged that certain drugs for COVID are not available in the market freely and for that government has written to the companies to set up a helpline, pro-actively put on their website their distribution network and their supply lines so that the confusion subsides.
