4:02Now PlayingIndian pharmaceutical company Zydus Cadila has announced that it will start the clinical human trial of its potential COVID-19 vaccine. The vaccine named, ZyCoV-D was found to be safe by researchers in the pre-clinical toxicity studies. The pharma giant is expected to conduct the trials across India with approximately 1000 persons as a test in different sites. The first and second phases of the trials are expected to be conducted on healthy volunteers and estimated to be completed in approximately 80 days. India's COVID tally continues to surge as pharma companies research potential vaccines against the virus.
