3:39Now PlayingAnother FIR of Police torture filed against 2 policemen involved in the alleged custodial death of Jayaraj and Bennicks.
Raja Singh who was arrested in murder charges had stated to a magistrate that he was brutally beaten when arrested and taken to Sathankulam police station.
He also stated that Jayaraj had said that Sub - Inspectors Raghu Ganesh Balakrishnan hit him while ‘Friends of Police’ helped them.
Raja Singh mentioned that Jayaraj and Bennicks had injuries on their body when they were brought to prison.
Sathankulam Magistrate recorded the statement of Raja Singh, where he mentioned that when Jayaraj and Bennicks were brought to Kovilpatti Sub-jail, they were locked up in the next cell and they had injuries in the back.
Raja Singh mentioned that he was brutally beaten in his private parts and had to undergo 11 days of treatment.
Based on his statement, CJM S Hema of Sathankulam directed Cops to file an FIR filed under 8 sections which include wrongful restraint and voluntarily causing hurt to extort a confession.
