As per the statements by locals, the area has noticed a huge spike in COVID cases because the government did not pay heed to proper sanitation measures and cleaning. The locals are blaming the sudden spike on the government's negligence.
Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation was not ready when it comes to fighting the COVID battle, there were no beds for patients and the lack of hospitals was a major set back which resulted in the spike.
