The Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Edappadi K Palaniswami attended an event with hundreds of other workers. This event was supposed to be an inaugural function in Salem with complete disregard for COVID social distancing norms and guidelines.
Last month the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu inaugurated a bridge in Salem and the camera person who was assigned for the event tested positive. As per lockdown rules set by the Tamil Nadu government, only 50 people are allowed to gather in functions.
