2:00Now PlayingNo flights in and to from Kolkata Airport will operate on 25th and 29th of July. The West Bengal government had requested Civil Aviation Ministry to suspend flight operation in Kolkata on lockdown days.
This decision came in after the Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee announced a complete lockdown for three days in a week, first day being on 24th, second on 25th and third on 29th of July. On the days of lockdown, no incoming or outgoing flight operation will be prohibited in the State. This State-wide lockdown was imposed to curb the surging number of cases of Coronavirus in West Bengal.
