The license of Horizon Hospital cancelled for overcharging patients. Hospitals are seen to overcharge to the tune of 57 lakh rupees.
Neha Kulkarni says apathy faced by people and hefty overcharging is being seen in Thane. Additional Municipal Commissioner of Thane, Ganesh Deshmukh highlights the ways the hospitals are overcharging namely-PPE kits, waste discharging, special sanitisation process etc. He also states the process by which hospitals are audited and the overcharge amount is credited back to the patient.
