3:23Now PlayingThe Tamil Nadu Government has finally released the relaxations and fresh guidelines for lockdown extension. The lockdown is extended until 31st of August. All Sundays in the month of August will be a complete lockdown.
For Chennai, the workforce can be increased from 50% to 75% in private companies. Dine-in allowed in Restaurants and Tea-stalls with 50% seating capacity from 6 am to 7 pm. Panel service allowed until 9 pm. Vegetable and grocery shops can be open from 6 am to 7 pm. Other shops permitted earlier to function can be open from 10 am to 6 pm. E-commerce allowed to provide essential and non-essential items.
Various other general restrictions like not more than 5 people allowed to gather in a place; SOP should be followed and WFH should be encouraged; Following Social Distancing, Independence Day can be celebrated in Tamil Nadu. E-Pass is necessary for anyone who wishes to travel from other States to Tamil Nadu or between districts in the State and more will continue till August.
