On The Urban Debate with Tanvi Shukla, as the Indian government has introduced the New Educational Policy 2020, there are various debates going around the entire scenario. The contours of the plan to revamp the education are now unveiled, Centre says that the new educational policy is a milestone.

Ashish Dhawan, Founder, CSIF India explains that the new educational policy is a landmark document where we need a national mission focused on foundational literacy and that we need to significantly improve by 2025.

Aiyar Yamini, President, CPR India, also states that the educational policy may finally free the teacher and the classroom from the tyranny of syllabus completion and pass percentages, which is considered as the biggest challenge that has held back the country's schooling system.

The choice of language as a medium of instruction should be left to school and parents, says Dr. Kulbhushan Sharma, President, National Independent Schools Association.
