This pertains to a case that is going on in the Supreme Court right now. A case of contempt proceedings or criminal contempt proceedings against Prashant Bhushan who is a noted lawyer.
The Supreme Court has already found him guilty of contempt because of two tweets that he put out. These tweets were regarding the Supreme Court. One specifically about the Chief Justice of India and the other one about the Supreme Court and former Chief Justices of India.
In light of this, the Supreme Court has found Prashant Bhushan guilty of contempt but they yet to decide on what his punishment should be?
The Supreme Court did ask Prashant Bhushan if he wanted to reconsider his statements, withdraw them or apologise for them. But Prashant Bhushan said no and he said he believes in what he said.
