On The Urban Debate with Tanvu Shukla, the number of COVID cases in the country is peaking and the pandemic is clashing with the festival season. Series of festivals are now beginning in the country, across states and will go on for several months. 2020 the year of Coronavirus pandemic has stopped the festivities but people are celebrating it in their houses. Is it safe to allow festivities now, still remains a big question?

Ganesh Chaturthi which is all set to take place on August 22. The festival is supposed to be observed across the country and the other perspective is that should the celebration of the festivals be made a private affair? One is allowed to do whatever they want to do, they can follow the traditions, customs and figure out a unique way of worshipping inside your own house.
